Golden-mantled Ground Squirrels, Callospermophilus lateralis.
is a type of ground squirrel found in mountainous areas of western North America. It eats seeds, nuts, berries, insects, and underground fungi.It is preyed upon by hawks, jays,weasels, foxes, bobcats, and coyotes.
